Casual dining restaurant chain Ruby Tuesday Inc. said Thursday it plans to develop 25 restaurants in the Middle East that will open over the next seven years.

The restaurants would be located in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, the chain said.

Ruby Tuesday said the restaurants would be operated by the National Arabic Company for Restaurant Management of Kuwait City (NAC).

The NAC said it will create an employee training center in Kuwait City, modeled after the chain’s training complex in Tennessee.

Ruby Tuesday already has four restaurants in the Middle East, in Kuwait City and Abu Halifa, Kuwait, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. More restaurants are scheduled to open in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Cairo, Egypt.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Ruby Tuesday has grown to more than 900 company-owned and franchised restaurants in 43 U.S. states and 15 countries.
