United Marketing Solutions, which offers direct-mail and other direct-marketing services, has set up franchises in Chicago and Colorado Springs, Colo

The Springfield-based company, a subsidiary of Next Generation Media Corp., says it is also seeking candidates to expand its presence in the mid-Atlantic region. United Marketing didn’t say how many franchises it wants locally.

United Marketing had about 38 franchise operations throughout the United States at the end of September, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Through its network of franchisees, the company provides businesses with services that include direct-mail advertising, coupon booklets, mailings to new families in a market, restaurant marketing kits and products for special events such as grand openings.
