Payment Tool for Small Biz

Inc.:

EZPay, a Chehalis, Wash.-based financial services firm, has launched an application that enables small businesses to have checks printed and mailed online.

EZPay Small Businesses Solutions eliminates the need for business to print checks in the workplace and mail them to customers, clients or suppliers separately, saving time and resources, the company said.

“This is the first of several new products designed for small and medium-sized businesses who have been traditionally unwilling to take advantage of electronic payments due to a lack of IT resources and the inability to seamlessly integrate with their accounting software,” Ronald Ehli, CEO of EZPay, said in a statement.

  • God, that’s a horrible logo. Makes me think “7-11″ before it makes me think “I trust you with my money!”

  • I don’t get it.. what does this do differently than the online bill pay that comes with pretty much every single business checking account?

They mention “integrates seamlessly with accounting software” – big deal, online banking integrates with most major software (Quickbooks, etc) anyway.

  • I think the point is that it’s *easier* then the online banking stuff. Well, least the one I tried (the bill pay that comes with QuickBooks).

I went back to printing my own checks, because of the lack of any real integration with my bank. Downloading a file to import doesn’t count.

Having spent around $40 for checks and those annoying windowed envelopes (yet again), I’ll have to say this service does sound interesting…
