Tricks Of The Trade:

A hotel manager offers this tip: Always ask for a business discount. Most motel and hotels have corporate discounts.

In fact, when buying any product or service, try asking for a discount.

You’ve got nothing to lose, and you’ll be surprised by how often it works.

Everytime I go to office depot or some office or electronics suppliers, I tell them that the purchase is for my business. I usually get a 5% discount :-)

Seems that every time my wife and I would use our “travel discount” cards from Triple A or whatever, the hotel would say, “you can use that but we can beat that price with a discount we are running.

So you can ask for the AAA discount and you’ll usually get it for a better price than AAA members.
