Small Biz Resource: Postful
Postful is betting on the fact that many people still don’t use email, (apparently 65 million Americans) and that we know people who can’t receive any.
So the team at Postful has come up with a solution to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds.
Send an email to a special unique address with the subject line as the mailing address, and its gets outputted into a printed piece and mailed out at the other end. Total cost, USD $.99 for one page full color, printing, mailing and postage included.
Whether you work in an office or are on the go, dealing with letters is a pain. Letterhead and supplies are hard to stock (even more so for mobile workers).
With Postful, your mailing department is always in your e-mail client. Why waste your time or an assistant’s time when Postful is better, faster, and cheaper than doing it yourself?
Many companies are, either by choice or regulatory requirement, tracking corporate communications. Document management systems are extremely expensive (seven figure investments are common).
With Postful, take advantage of simple e-mail storage to track letters as well. Postful is the rare service that’s more convenient for both employees and corporate.
A great timesaver!

Similar in spirit to the Postful concept is EasyPost. It’s webmail based so you can do it from any computer with internet access. It’s also FREE. Right now the service is for Canadian addresses only, but it won’t be long… http://www.easypost.ca

PostalMethods has a similar solution focused on businesses looking to automate their postal letters through an online API.

Tylergram has a similar service except it is a bit fancier and more expensive. $3.99 for the people who can afford it. It is really lovely.
