Peace Corps Alums Share Entrepreneurship Tips

Inc.:

The National Peace Corps Association and Social Edge, an online community of social entrepreneurs, are offering a series of online audio interviews with former Peace Corps volunteers discussing their experience with entrepreneurial ventures around the world.

Among other interviews, the weekly audio profiles feature a Peace Corps volunteer who served from 1966-68 in Guatemala and is now the chairman of Winning Workplaces, a not-for-profit that helps organizations become great places to work. Another profiles a recent Peace Corps alum who volunteered in Uzbekistan and is now the founder of Catalyst Strategy Advisors in London, where she helps businesses create programs for the social good.

“These are amazing and inspirational stories of how individuals use the Peace Corps experience to develop the skills, habits and aptitude to be effective agents for positive social change,” Peace Corps President Kevin Quigley said in a statement. “These Peace Corps entrepreneurs exemplify what our community is fundamentally about–innovation leading to change that makes a difference.”

The downloadable audio files along with background information on each entrepreneur can be found here.
