Why Your eBay Auction Didn’t Sell

Yahoo Finance:

If you spend much time on eBay, you know what a crap shoot it can be to win an auction. And yet, only about 70 percent of auctions receive any bids at all. Why don’t the other 30 percent draw any action? Well, here are 10 reasons why no one bids on them.

1. You have a bunch of stupid characters in your title and or listing.

2. I can not tell how much you are charging for shipping.

3. You do not accept Paypal.

4. Your description is junk,

5. You can not spell.

6. Busted goods.

7. Item is in Australia.

8. Starting bid is way too high.

9. Starting bid is way too high.

10. No photo.

  • We can certainly help with #2, “I can not tell how much you are charging for shipping.” If the seller is shipping a freighted item (something bigger, heavier, or more bulky than a parcel), they can instantly find out a shipping cost between any two points by logging on to http://www.FreightCenter.com. This is a free service that not only offers discounted prices but facilitates the entire shipping process including paperwork.
