Yours truly can sleep through even the loudest of bedside alarms but I’m pretty sure if the sounds were blasted directly into my ear canal I would wake up pretty quickly. That’s part of the idea behind the Earlarm from Mini Castle.
It looks and functions like an earbud-type headphone but without any of the cords. And from what I can tell it’s completely self-contained so you don’t need a separate audio source.
The Earlarm website has a list of possible uses including as an alert to not miss your stop on public transportaion, during driving to remind you when it’s time to take a break and even as a personal wake-up alarm that won’t bother anyone sleeping nearby.
It’s currently available for $14.99.
