Kid Friendly Medical Kit
They say, “Need leads to innovation,” and that was never more true than in the case of Richelle Nassos who turned her son’s fears and tears into a major business.
It’s first aid with a little TLC.
Part doctor bag, part playtime, it is a first-aid kit designed just for kids and all designed by a Valley mother who you could literally call the Mother of Invention.
“I came up with the idea when our oldest son Cody was then 3,” said Nassos. “He’s now 8 and he was always afraid of first aid. When he had an owee, he’d have a meltdown and I thought there had to be something more kid friendly that is not so scary for kids.”
“We patented and designed our own doctor’s bag and them we put a place to put their name on it so they can call it their own,” Nassos said.
“And then when you open it up it is all compartmentalized, so we made with doors that shut down for mom,” she said. “And then we did the gloves blue. We did multi-colored crayon bandages, neon bandages. did smiley face pictures, basically just fun-ified the whole thing.”
