From the top of the list, the Olympus 790SW (an update of the 770SW if you will) is waterproof, shockproof, freeze proof, sand and dust proof, and comes in a variety of bright colors.
The hardy aluminum body has rubber gaskets and O-rings to seal the interior thus keeping shots clear. All the normal specs are there: 7.1-megapixel sensor, 3X optical zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD.
New to the mix is Face-Detection technology with exposure optimization, to brighten subjects. Shadow adjustment technology also eases difficult lighting situations, and the Digital IS feature boosts ISO sensitivity and shutter speed for blur-free pictures.
