I’m sure that everyone has heard of the fairly recent marketing strategy of social bookmarking. Basically, it revolves around using sites such as Friendster, MySpace,Technorati, Delicious, Squidoo, and others. What these sites do is to allow users to bookmark their favorite pages of websites ….. and then share them with others. The more people who bookmark a particular page, the more “votes” it gets.What’s also cool is that once you bookmark a webpage, you can input tags (another word for keywords), for that particular webpage. Plus…..this site is then pinged at the ping server. This is where the terminology “tag and ping” came from.
