More phone calls. More e-mails. Hopefully, more orders. You’re still wondering where summer went, when - bang! - you’re suddenly back to work at full speed.
Of course, as a business owner, you’re never completely away from work. Even when you went on vacation - and I hope you did finally take a vacation this year - you never forgot about business.
But once Labor Day’s gone, you must turn your full attention back to your business. Fall is one of the most important business seasons, so it’s critical you make the most of these next few months.
Good news! From September through early December, customers are ready to buy. Fall is a good time to make money. So get out there! Here’s how:
- Step up your marketing.
- Get in touch with current and past customers.
- Go to, or better yet exhibit at, trade shows and conferences.
- Take care of your Christmas holiday business.
- Develop an annual business plan or marketing plan.
- Stay on top of suppliers.
