eBay to Crack Down on Selling Recalled Items
EBay Inc. said sellers who inadvertently are listing recalled items will be sent a message from the company with a copy of its policy forbidding such sales.
“Listing items on eBay which have been recalled is strictly prohibited, and if the Consumer Product Safety Commission asks eBay to remove an item, we will take it down,” Catherine Schwartz, the company’s toy and gadget director, said Tuesday.
