Big Idea Group in Manchester, New Hampshire, conducts a number of Hunts and Contests for innovation-seeking companies. Hunts are searches for innovations or technologies in a particular area.
Currently, there are two idea hunts in progress.
Ragu is seeking innovations to solve some of the challenges busy moms encounter in making pasta sauce meals. Innovations at any step of the process from planning to prep, cooking, and cleanup are welcome. The goal is to offer easier solutions for the mom who wants to create pasta sauce meals that nurture and please the entire family, allowing her to focus less on the meal process and more on being together. Best ideas will be evaluated for licensing. In addition, the top submission will receive a $2,000 cash prize and four runners-up will receive $500 each. Deadline is Jan. 23, 2008. Faultless Starch/Bon Ami, manufacturer of the Garden Weasel tools, is seeking innovations to help short, petite, elderly, disabled, and single people more easily do routine prep and maintenance chores for their lawn and garden. Ideally, these tools and innovations would be lightweight, scaled appropriately, offer more leverage assistance, and be more powerful and effective than traditional devices. Both long-handled and short-handled solutions are welcome; environmentally safe chemicals will also be considered. All ideas will be considered for licensing, and the top 15 submissions will receive merchandise prizes. Deadline is Jan. 9, 2008. For guidelines and entry form, click here.
