SchoolOfMusic.com recruits music teachers and then provides music lessons in students’ homes, teachers’ home studios, and after school programs. Their bizop is a must see!
The Magic Mirror is a billboard for the bathroom. Hung above a sink, it displays a brightly-lit and animated full-color advertisement when no on is near. When someone approaches, the graphics disappear and it functions as standard mirror. When they finish, and step away, the advertising returns.
Magic Mirror is manufactured and available from Magic Display.
I think that it is a brilliant re-imagining of every day objects! What other uses do you see for a magic mirror?
Interesting idea. I can see it being used not just in restrooms, but anywhere that someone might be tempted to take a quick peak at themselves — bars, in office reception areas, etc.
Advertising is EVERYWHERE! Down to the painted stripes in mall parking lots to the inside of the cup on the 18th hole.
We’re bombarded with images and messages.
I think our brains turn off some of the advertising to save our sanity. I know I don’t pay that much attention to ads on the Internet.
I see them, periferally, but don’t comprehend them.
The ad man’s holy grail is to invade our dreams.
Imagine, you go to sleep and dream of driving a Lexus across country.
Though this technology is currently being used for advertising — I don’t think it needs to be. It could just as easily display the outside weather, or breaking news.
So weather and news… How would that pay any bills?? Will you frequent a spot because it shows the weather in the bathroom?? Bills have to be paid and ad space is another way for venues to help keep lower prices by adding these and making a few extra bucks on the side.
Usually the wetaher is on in the bar anyway…
Just a thought.

Not sure I like the advertisements in the bathroom but Dane’s idea of a television or weather updates might be acceptable.
