Stoking the holiday spirit, Shaw Cable is offering viewers a Christmas tree that requires no setup or takedown and leaves behind no pine needles to clean up.
The cable company this year is giving subscribers a Christmas tree filled with a different kind of sap.
Building on the notorious fire log channel, which transports a burning fireplace to viewers’ living rooms, Shaw Cable launched the spinoff Christmas tree channel this weekend.
The Christmas tree channel gives Shaw Digital and Star Choice TV viewers ongoing access to a 50-foot Colorado Spruce, decorated with more than 6,000 multi-coloured lights and hundreds of seasonal ornaments.
“Adding the Christmas tree to our lineup provides viewers a variety of holiday classics to light up their homes and warm their spirits,” Bissonnette said.
The tree is an addition to the fire log, which is continuing its 21-year run burning on TV screens with the occasional stoking hand making an appearance.
