Everyday Edisons will be hosting a casting calls in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday, January 12, 2008. This is the first of five national casting calls taking place in 2008.

Everyday Edisons is a nationally televised show on PBS that educates viewers about the product development process and is produced with the cooperation of the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

The first season of the show aired in the spring of 2007 and we are currently in production of Season 2. Each year we hold nationwide casting calls to hand select 10-12 inventors to feature as the show captures the steps involved in transforming an idea into a finished product.

Product development experts, as well as professionals in patent, legal and trademark issues will be on-site to select product concepts to move forward in consideration. Anyone with an idea for a new product – patent or no patent – is invited to attend the casting call and present their creation.

Those with factory prototypes or finished products will be reviewed by product development experts, as well as representatives from major retailers, such as Bed Bath & Beyond, QVC, PetSmart, The Sharper Image, and buybuyBaby.
