Inventor’s Cup Runneth Over
If Sherman inventor Steve Kazyaka has his way, there will be no more crying over spilled milk. In fact, there won’t be any more spilled milk.
Kazyaka, 43, is the inventor of KAZeKUP, a portable cup holder created to limit spills in the car, boat, at the beach and almost anywhere else.
The giant cup holder can slip into your car’s cup holder, making it more secure and enabling it to hold bigger bottles, cans and cups. Its wide rim captures and stores any spillover and condensation. Accessories allow you to take the cup holder and prop it at the beach or clamp it onto almost any surface.
Using part of a bottle, a plastic cup, a funnel and a load of masking tape, Kazyaka created what would become the prototype for the KAZeKUP.
The original was meant for his use alone.
Kazyaka recalled it was “my way of keeping myself clean and my car clean.” But the cup holder began to attract the attention of friends and family who started saying things like “what a great idea, could you make something like that for me?”
Encouraged by the response, Kazyaka began to manufacture and market the item. The invention now has a Web site and is attracting notice.
