Keeping Your Kids In The Shade

It’s amazing how simple it is when an idea for a business comes to someone. Heather and Brian Winterling are such people.

They got the itch, that itch that many people feel after their life has been in a rut much too long. So they decided to take on the world. They bought an “around the world” plane ticket and were off to scratch their travel itch.

The time they had on that trip was fabulous, but what they observed was even more so. People in Europe used parasols on the buggies for their children. Why not in the US?

In 2006 both Heather and Brian hand an extra large year. ShadyBaby was born, as well as their first child. Two good things such as that can only mean more good things should be coming their way. And with such a unique to the US idea, how could it not?

Now their daughter Amelia gets to enjoy the creations of her parents by enjoying these parasols herself where they live in Denver Colorado. Definitely a great choice for test driving their creative product.

Inspiration doesn’t always come from life as a parent. A story like this where the mom and dad can work together to keep up a good business while raising their child is a great example for other families out there wanting to do the same thing. After all, being a WAHM doesn’t mean it has to be done alone.
