WBOY-TV.com:

For most of us, we think of 15 year olds as the MySpace or Facebook generation, who typically are more interested in text messaging and chatting online.

But for Becca Whelchel its all business.

Becca and her mother Elissa have a very unique mother-daughter bond, business partners.

It all started a few months ago at the Forest Festival when the two discovered Uppercase Living. It’s a line of vinyl lettering and inspirational saying that can adorn any object.

Becca fell in love with the product and soon after that the two were in business. Since Becca is only 15, the company is in her mothers name. But when it comes to the demonstrations and the presentation of the products, that is all Becca.

Becca has been going full speed ahead with her new business for the last few months. Saturday night she held an open house to help drum up sales.

The host of the event says she too is amazed at this 15 year old entrepreneur.

For Becca and her Mom, it’s about more than just owning a business, it gives them some quality time together and for Becca gives her a jump start on life lessons and gives her mom something to look back on.
