What strange food could you freeze and market?
A Pickle Sickle sounds like a bizarre desert created by drunken college students at 3AM, but the squeezed pickle juice frozen juice “treats” are really taking off.
Pickel Sickels are the brainchild of Texas roller rink owner John Howard. He freezes the juice from freshly squeezed picklesm much like apple or orange juice. In addition to catering to the cravings of pregnant women, the healthy snack is popular in schools across the county.
According to the company, a recent study revealed that pickles blunted the blood-sugar spike by as much as 30% after a high-carb meal. Studies revealed that vinegar, much like that used in the pickling process, provided a balancing benefit to combat harmful insulin spikes.
I never would have imagined that someone could do this with a pickle!

Several NFL players drink pickle juice during hot summer practices and think it is better that Gatorade.
