From The Log Cabin To The Home Business

I’ve heard many different types of stories on how moms have started their own business, but I don’t think anything has been as unique as the story behind Heather from Mom 4 Life.

How many people with young children can say that they spent the first few years of their life in a log cabin, in the middle of nowhere, with no electricity and an outhouse for a bathroom? Chances are their aren’t many people that can. Heather can. That is exactly how she spent the first few years of her life. So how did this mom go from that to a work at home mom?

Marrying a man with a degree in computer science probably helped with that. But it didn’t really start until she decided after having her son that she wanted to be a stay at home mom and bring some money into the household as well. That definitely took research.

Deciding to start a store, Heather found a few unique products that any mom could want or use and from there she started selling from home. Then her inventory started to grow even more as she started getting recommendations of other great products she could also sell.

If you look through Heather’s website you might notice that she also does her part to help out other moms who work from home like her. Next to each great mom-made product is the story of the mompreneur that makes that product. Although not all products offered are mom-made, many of them are. So not only does someone support a mom by buying from Mom 4 Life, but they can also support another mom by buying a product she made and is being sold there.

If a mom had doubts about starting her own home business, just think about Heather and how far she’s come from her days living in an electricity-free home. If she can learn what she needed to get where she is today, that proves just about anyone can.
