Renting movies started out simply by going to a rental store and picking out what movies you wanted to watch, for a price. Pretty simple concept. Then movie rentals moved to the internet with websites like Netflix or Blockbuster creating an online system where you receive what you want to see in the mail.

DVDNow Kiosks take that idea to another level with a fully automated kiosk system that will rent out movies without having to be at a movie store. These kiosks can go in places like local grocery stores or gas stations. They simplify the movie rental process with one stop shopping. These kiosks will even offer their own version of the “discount rack” at a local movie store by selling off the older movies when they lose their popularity to make room for the new top rentals. The kiosk can sell new movies as well.

Some of the other ways that the DVDNow kiosk can make their owner money:

• A small flyer can be placed within the DVD jewel case. That gives the kiosk owner the opportunity to make money through advertising as well as promotions that may be done with local businesses.
• The late fees are determined by the owner. Charge per day as well as return time and late fees is determined by you. Then the kiosk software will organize the inventory and will bill the customer automatically.
• A customer can watch the movie trailer before deciding on what to rent. Sometimes that little tease is all someone needs to make their decision.

The vending machine business is quite big and a very flexible business on it’s own, so bringing in DVD rentals to the vending business opens up something that probably isn’t found in your area. Where many areas already are saturated with vending machines of many different kinds, chances are their is no area with a DVDNow kiosk in place.
