Non traditional truck advertising has been out for some time already. And in some places it had been a huge hit since it’s a cheaper way to advertise.
But if you’re really looking for a much much cheaper way to advertise then you should consider ambient advertising- these are basically advertisements you see in unexpected places.
Though there had been no study that can prove the overall effectiveness of ambient advertising, (it is said it is effective in Australia and parts of America) many still consider it because it only entails a low advertising cost.

I think truck advertising is not practical and more expensive than traditional advertising. Aside from fuel expenses, penetration of truck advertising is low compared to what a poster/ pricey billboards can do.

It was called one of the most perspective advertice strategy when special tralers appeared on Moscow streets. They were going through the city and everybody were pointing on them.
Where are they now? Nowhere.
Business absolutely failed.

Kelly – actually, mobile billboards have twice the recall rate of static billboards, and scrolling billboards have a 97% recall rate – the highest of any form of advertising… ever.

With devices like TiVo, which allow people to fast forward through commercials, companies need to look into advertising that viewers can’t turn off, and this is where mobile and outdoor advertising becomes crucial to keeping one’s head above water, especially with the state of our economy.

I agree with Jackson. However, the big drawback is city regulations. Nowaday it is hard to find a city that doesn’t ban mobil advertising.
