Beer for Kids?

By on May 19, 2008 in Humor

Via our Business Humor Blog, comes this Japanese commercial that features non-alcoholic beer for children – complete with foam mustache and pizza. The company also sells wine and champagne for kids.

Crazy, but business ideas are everywhere.

Another Idea: How to Start a Beer Brewery Business

It sounds like an interesting idea. It just give me the impression that they’re showing children, “Hay, beer is cool!” That’s not an impression I’d like to give my daughter. Kind of like candy cigarettes. An interesting idea, but maybe not the best example to show our kids about those things.

I guess it’s one of those things that the opinion on the product will change from person to person.

Yes, very true.. It’s somewhat good cause when are we going to expose them, much better to do it now, now to let them discover it themselves.

With any idea comes risk. Is precedence being set that beer is ok? I think it is important with any idea, that the potential set backs are “redirected” through positive empathize, to contradict the fear (In this case the beer is non-alcoholic).

I’m with Angela….it seems like training wheels for suture alcoholics.

Seems weird, but in different cultures it is not uncommon for kids to have some wine with dinner or even beer. Granted, the ad is a little more of a kid-party theme, which is not the dinner-table, but I also see some adults around, and I’ll assume that is also part of the message.
