Virtual Assistant Mompreneur Assists Mom's Too

By being a virtual assistant to others from the comfort of their own home, many moms have been able to successfully earn some extra money while being home to care for their children.

Jenny Claggett is one of these moms. But what sets her apart from the rest of the VA world is that she keeps a website, be-a-va.com, dedicated to helping other moms become VA’s just like her!

On her website she has a variety of tips which can be found linked to on the sidebar of her website. She also offers a “Have a Question” entry form for those looking for additional information.

So how exactly did Jenny get started? It started a few years ago. She wanted to escape the work commute among other things. With help of the GoToMyPC tool she was able to have a life visiting family when she needed to and still work. She also recommends some other tools for VAs. She keeps a special “VA Toolbox” page where she shares what they are to others interested in following down her successful wahm path.

With as many great mom-owned businesses available, I enjoy finding mom’s who found their own way and share that advice with others so they can do the same as well. It’s inspiring to know that just because they succeeded they won’t forget what got them there and help others make it too. Jenny is a great inspiration for that reason alone.

  • Angela,

One thing I’ve definitely noticed as a growing trend in the wide world of WAHM’s is the interest in making revenue as a virtual assistant. While some women have a master plan laid out for their own home-based business, others just want to get in on the action, without missing a moment of their children’s lives. This is clearly the case with Jenny, and it seems to work out fabulously! What an inspiration.

I’m an official Microsoft ambassador and right now we’re really trying to scale up our connections with influential bloggers like yourself. I’d love to share with you some of the stuff we’ve been doing in the last couple months to help women entrepreneurs; we’re really committed to providing all the necessary resources to help women start, grow and expand their business.

We just wrapped up a women’s entrepreneurial tour across the US; the response and turn-out was great!

I’d really love your take on these offerings we have right now; I would have contacted you via email but I didn’t know which was the best way to reach you.

Thank you so much, I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. Definitely get back to me if I’ve piqued your interest– I’d love to share more info with you.
