PowerHomeBiz.com:

House sitters provide a professional service for house, pet and plant care in your absence. House sitters are trained and trusted people who have been groomed to take up the responsibility.

There may be occasions when you might be out on a holiday, business trip or even hospitalized having nobody to take care of your home, pet or plants. At such times, like many you also may not want to return to an un-kept home; desiccated garden or might detest sending your pet to a kennel. This is when you need a house sitter who will spare you of all the above worries and provide good, professional house keeping services.

The house sitters usually are employed with a professional house sitting service provider. They are trained and experienced; and perform all the household and pet grooming exercises. You select a house sitter befitting your requirements and acclimatize the person to his/her service needs.

The house sitter uses the information gathered from the preliminary meeting and fulfills all your requirements. House keeping service would include maintaining the house; feeding and grooming the pet and tending the garden. The house sitter guards your house against burglary and illegal occupancy. A house sitter may or may not use your amenities at home depending on the agreement.

This sounds like a great alternative to using busy friends for house sitting. The only problem with this venture is finding trusworthy people.

This is also a great summer business idea for teens. My sister and I financed all of our summer activities during our teen years by feeding farm animals, mucking stalls, and tending to gardens while people were vacationing.
