Mom/Daughter Team Create One Special Wedding Gift
Many mom-owned businesses exist because the woman was looking to work from home and care for family. The Blue Top Hat is different. This is a business run by a mother and her daughter.
Their business idea came about when they were trying to figure out a gift to give one of their best friends who was getting married. What they came up with was a basket that offers a book to keep track of each ‘first month’ of the marriage with a gift that goes with it. The book and 12 gifts come all together in one package.
Using a small amount of the inheritance that was received by Alana from her mother’s death the two women started their business and in her memory give 5% of their net sales to the SPCA. A special thought to yet another mom that even in death put her influence on a business.
Between California to Virgina this mother/daughter team are able to use the company as a connection between the two, keeping them closer than ever. As well as the special story they share.
