BND:

Karen Taylor established her business with an idea that she thought she could sell handmadewine personal wine charms for wine glasses and bottles to the nation’s growing number of wineries. Seven years later, her Karen’s Kreations, which she operates from her Belleville home, is thriving like a fine wine.

When asked where she got this idea she responded “All my life, I’ve been interested in art. I was in interior decorating for 20 years. I decided to take a break from it and worked at Hobby Lobby. One day I was watching TV and saw charms dealers, and I decided to make those and went to a couple of wineries talking about it and sold some. I was later watching arts and crafts on TV and saw something with Shrinky Dinks and got an idea that I could put wineries’ logos on wine charms.”

What makes her different than the rest “What we do is very customized. If they have something in mind to give for gifts for something special, unless it’s copyrighted or obscene, with the company’s permission, we can do it.”

I think that’s a great promotional idea that she came up with! I can see why it’s doing so well.
