  • I have been reading a lot about this lately. Apparently the majority of eBay sales now come from the “buy it now” sales rather than the auctions. I think that is more of a consumer trend than anything eBay is or is not doing.

eBay is still a powerhouse. Personally, I prefer Craigslist. I usually have no trouble selling whatever widget I no longer need in under 48 hours. The downside is I have to be at home for people when people show up for there item and strangers are coming to my house. The upside is, I get cash in hand and don’t have to deal with online scammers.

  • Ebay is still the #1 platform for traffic looking to make a purchase decision. Perhaps the auction model has changed in the past few years to the buy now model, however, it is still a great powerhouse for extremely targeted buyer traffic. The 6 ways mentioned above are great! Why not use a hybrid marketing tactic by combining offline with online effort to leverage more exposure?

  • Ebay is one way to sell whatever you wanted but I think for me when i have things not needed, i just put “GARAGE SALE” and neighbors are coming.

  • Nice article. Yes free classifieds websites are among the best choosed options for selling anything and anywhere for free.
