Shop Brings Fashion Flair To Cave City

The Batesville Daily Guard:

Angela M. Ring always knew that she wanted to have her own business, but “I didn’t know exactly what,” she said.

When others have asked her why she would want her own business, Ring said her reply is usually “to pass some time.” But it’s more than that. To her, it’s about setting an example for her girls Lexi, 5, and Tia, 3. It also means being able to work around her children while still getting to be a mom, who just happens to have her own business.

This May, Ring opened Angela’s Apparel and Accessories at 518 N. Main St., Suite B, next to Kandi’s Klassy Kuts and Dollar General in Cave City.

Ring, 24, said it only took her about four weeks to open her shop, which includes shirts, jeans, dresses, shoes and accessories for teenage girls and women in their 20s and 30s. Women in their 40s have found stuff, too, she said.

Depending on personal style, Ring wants others to know that there is something for girls and women, or men looking to find something for the female in their life.

“I’ve had people come in here just to pick up a quick gift,” she said.

Pants and jeans range in size from 3 to 22 and shirts range in size from small to 3X. However, the prices are what Ring hopes shoppers will like.

“The prices — that kind of sells itself.” Nothing is priced over $19.95, except for a few handbags that she is allowing a woman to sell in her store. Some of those are priced at $22.95, Ring said.

While Ring gets a lot of her merchandise through a variety of online retailers, mostly in Los Angeles, she said it was important for her to shop around on the Internet to find retailers that have merchandise of the best quality and with low prices.

“With being a mom, I like to have nice things, but I also like to have money left over,” she said.
