Passenger Creates Mini-Motel
Frank Giotto, who owns a number of successful companies, does a lot of business travel. He noted that in recent years there has been a great increase in the number of airline delays and flight cancellations, many of which resulted from security measures after the events of 9/11.
Adding to the problem is the fact that many airport hotels are often filled to capacity, and travelers have to spend an uncomfortable night sitting on a hard bench in the airline terminal. Wouldn’t it be great, he thought, if there was something like a “mini motel,” a portable motel room where business travelers could get a good night’s sleep. They would arrive relaxed and refreshed for their important business meetings the next day.
Since such a product did not exist, Mr. Giotto used his inventive talents to create it himself. The result is the “Mini Motel,” a truly innovative solution that provides portable sleeping accommodations for a wide range of situations. It’s a compact tent with pillow, air mattress, alarm clock and reading lamp. Once he invented it, the many uses people have found for the Mini Motel have exceeded even his expectations.

That’s truly innovative! I am surprised no one considered a product like that sooner.

I wonder if this could be used for working on remote farms. Would be great if the founder could elaborate on some of the examples of non airport travellers using this “motel”.

This is a pretty cool idea, but if it’s bigger than a carry on, then I don’t see a point at all. This would be great for camping though. It has some potential to it.
