In the world of jewelry, everyone is always looking for the right piece to complement an outfit or just to stand out. Nineteen-year-old Lucy Wright of Fort Washington wants to help customers find the right jewelry piece and for a great price too with her own line, Lucy’s Jewelry Box.
Wright’s jewelry line focuses on providing consumers with quality fashion jewelry at an inexpensive price. Wright credits her business partner and friend, 21-year-old Lyndon Watson of Waldorf, with inspiring her to start her own business after commenting on the jewelry she was wearing.
Wright, a sophomore at Trinity College in Washington, D.C., and Watson, a TESST College student, started the business six months ago after doing research on the internet.
Through word of mouth, promotion of their website and community events such as June’s Bowie Fest in Bowie, Lucy’s Jewelry Box has garnered positive reviews and gained a base of repeat customers.
