Mom and Daughter Cook Up New Concept in Real Estate Marketing
If the kitchen is the heart of any home, real estate agent and television producer Karen Moore figured why not showcase it when trying to make a sale?
So Moore and her daughter, Aryen Moore-Alston, an actress and avid cook, designed a 30-minute television program that’s part cooking show, part home tour and all designed to sell a home.“The kitchen sells the house,” said Moore, of Dan Stewart Realtors.
The first installment of “This House is Cooking!” aired July 26 at 2 p.m. on WPTY-TV Channel 24. The second show airs Aug. 30 at 3:30 p.m. on WLMT-TV Channel 30.
Moore’s original concept was to produce a cooking show similar to that of Rachael Ray’s program, with her daughter preparing the meal.
“For the first time, viewers will be able to see a home for sale while imagining a family meal in the home’s kitchen during the menu preparation by Aryen,” Moore said.
“I will take them on a tour to highlight additional features of the house.”
