A store serving up holiday classics and lunchtime fare is looking to move into a Kennewick location.
The HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Cafe has more than 400 stores nationwide, including several in Western Washington and two in Spokane.
Jim Squire, director of franchise development for the Atlanta-based company, said the Tri-Cities and Yakima markets are on the company’s radar because of the areas’ population.
“Our threshold is 100,000 in markets that we serve,” he said.
Squire said the company’s looking for a franchisee to open a store that will sell spiral-cut hams and other meats for holidays and other occasions, as well cafe fare including soups, salads and sandwiches.
No location has been picked yet, but it likely will be in a strip shopping center with 1,600 to 2,000 square feet of space.
