Huntington Learning Center

Named a “Top 25 Performing Franchise” by StartupJournal.com, Huntington Learning Center is probably one of the top businesses that comes to mind when considering a tutoring program. Having been established in 1977, they didn’t really start spreading out into franchising until 1985.
Each year there are more children entering school, more so than ever before. Classrooms become over crowded and many kids miss out on that one-on-one interaction they need for the best possible learning experience. At a Huntington Learning Center children are able to get the tutoring assistance needed to get through their most difficult subjects.
Those that are passionate about business and education also find the franchise model offered to be one that they’d enjoy pursuing. Franchisee’s don’t need a degree in education to be successful, but those with the right amount of drive and entrepreneurial spirit find themselves among some of the most successful. The total investment for one of their franchises can be anywhere from $203,000 and $393,000 but they will assist their franchisees with financing through third-party lenders.
Franchisees go through a 5 week training program before getting started. Once the business has been launched, they will offer continued training and support in areas such as:
- Center Operations
- Marketing
- Education
- Systems
They also offer optional services which includes a call center and sales coaching.

More and more parents want their children to learn more in their academic subjects. Some parents personally teach their kids and some were hiring a tutors especially when parents were both working.
With more than 30 years in service, i think Huntington Learning Center have already prove that they are one of the best service in tutoring the kids in their difficult subjects.

As a business opportunity, a new franchisee needs to know that the average brand new franchise center averages only about $250,000 in its first year which means the average first year center owner should expect to lose about $100,000 in the first year of operation. The franchisee of that brand new first year center should ask themselves if that is what they want after having invested approximately $300,000 +.
