Now available from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation, Johnny Money Online Game is a FREE Internet-based small business simulation game that engages students as they explore the risks and rewards of business ownership. Johnny Money is the newest of the Entrepreneur-in-the-Classroom programs, which are designed to enable educators to talk about entrepreneurship in their classrooms.
Players will be able to utilize experiential learning as a tool to aid in retention of entrepreneurial concepts, create, maintain, analyze and influence the essential factors in a successful virtual small business, experience, engage and interact with entrepreneurial decisions and events in a virtual setting
JMOG is a realistic exploration of small business management that can easily be integrated into classroom curriculum. The game’s length is a minimum of 45 minutes, and it can be paused at any point to provide multiple completion options–complete it in one day, spread it out over a few days or send it home as homework.
Additionally, students can play as individuals or teams. Since JMOG is an Internet-based activity, it can be incorporated into existing lesson plans for class discussion, assigned as an out-of-class assignment, or used in homeroom, advisory or after school programs.
Editor Note: You don’t have to be a student to take advantage of this offer. Anyone can sign up and play. It will give you experience in running a small biz and what you can expect.
