Natchitoches Welcomes Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers

NATCHITOCHES, La. — (October 6, 2008) — What began 12 years ago, and 148 miles away in Baton Rouge, is being served up for lunch and dinner for the first time in Natchitoches. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, located at409 Keyser Ave., officially opens for business today becoming the company’s 71st restaurant location across America.

“This is an exciting day for all of us in Natchitoches,” said restaurant general manager Jessica Williams. “Raising Cane’s is looking forward to serving the students and citizens here our famous chicken finger meals as well as a little taste of the hospitality and passion we have for what we do.”

The first Raising Cane’s restaurant opened on August 26, 1996 in Baton Rouge and was such a hit that customers crowded in for the tasty chicken fingers until 3:30 a.m.! To this day, patrons continue to enjoy the Raising Cane’s menu, which includes a variety of chicken finger combination meals as well as Tailgate Boxes of 25 to 100 chicken fingers for that special game day meal.

Raising Cane’s has been recognized for their innovative business model and commitment to quality with accolades such as ranking second on Restaurant Business Future’s Top 50 List; winning Nations’ Restaurant News 2003 Hot Concepts Award; being listed in the Top 100 Movers and Shakers in Fast Casual Magazine. The restaurant was also voted Best New Restaurant in Houston by the readers of Houston Business Journal.

The Natchitoches restaurant, like all Raising Cane’s locations, features the company-famous logo mural painted on the wall. The up-to-date oval version of the mural is symbolic of the original rendition painted on the bricks of the first restaurant location in Baton Rouge. During renovation of that original restaurant location, Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves uncovered a 1930’s era mural of a bakery. The inspiration of that mural led to the current style Raising Cane’s mural featured at each location today.

“Raising Cane’s is dedicated to providing the most delicious meals to our customers, “Williams said. “We are excited to bring our tradition of world famous chicken fingers to the longstanding heritage and legacy of theNatchitoches community.”
