Evan Carmichael At YoungEntrepreneur.com:
A question I get asked very frequently by young entrepreneurs is “How do I know if my business idea is any good?”
1) You Love It
2) You Have A Customer
3) It Doesn’t Cost Too Much To Set Up
4) You Can Do It All Yourself Or Have A Team In Place
5) You Have Something That Sets You Apart

1) You Love It (have strong passion for it)
2) You Have A Customer (a market segment with potential growth)
3) It Doesn’t Cost Too Much To Set Up (there are no huge barriers to entry)

Short but straight to the point.
I hope I will be able to launch my own business some day.

I don’t think you have to love it, if you can see it as a stepping stone to something bigger/closer to what you ultimately want to do. The rest are pretty valid, though.
