Constantine Voyages runs Toronto-based GoldStar Coffee, which buys, roasts and ships coffee to restaurants, hotels and consumers. Constantine Voyages tells the Financial Post what motivated him to become an entrepreneur.
“Fresh out of college, I joined with a friend to run a coffee company. The partnership didn’t last, but I stayed in the business, loving the freedom of being my own boss.”
“Early on, I was on the Internet, posting bulletins, hoping to get a higher local profile. Instead, major coffee companies from around the world began to contact me. It was amazing.”
“As small or large orders arrive, we roast the beans, seal them fresh, and ship immediately by UPS or Canada Post. We deliver anywhere in North America, including military bases. We’re quite flexible, creating customized blends, even private labels, depending on the order.”
“Selling online reduces overhead. Recently, we’ve launched a strong promotion on eBay, offering premium coffee at substantially lower prices, and business has soared.”
