It's A Paddy is Jewelry 'From The Heart'

The Huntsville Times:

Paddy Lombardi is following in her family’s footsteps to design jewelry in her business, It’s a Paddy.

She was born into a family of artists, and her father and grandfather were successful architects in Canton, Ohio. She loves art and majored in art and music. “They all tie together,” she said.

“Each piece I make comes from my heart. I get very emotional while making them,” Lombardi said. She said she feels fortunate to have a special gift.

For her designs, Lombardi uses 100 percent, silk bead string, leather, suede and sterling wire. Many pieces contain semi-precious and precious stones with sterling silver, along with sea glass, turquoise and natural stones.

Her favorite material is sterling silver from the Karen Hill Tribe in Northern Thailand. The high silver content gives malleability. “You will notice no two are alike,” she said.

After 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, Lombardi is working at the Cat Hospital of Madison. Her husband, Matt, is owner of Live Oak Landscape Services.

Their children are Ian, a sophomore at Bob Jones High School; Sarah, a freshman at Liberty Middle School; and Bailey, a fifth-grader at Columbia Elementary School.

The Lombardis have been Madison residents about 10 years. “We love Madison and feel it’s a wonderful place to raise a family,” she said.
