Homegrown Business Trucks Onto National, International Scene

LSJ.com:

Two Men and a Truck truly is a family businesses. Matriarch Sheets does most of the community outreach work. Daughter Melanie Bergeron is chief executive officer; Brig is president and Jon is executive vice president.

The four follow one rule: Put the customer first.

“We don’t take on any new project or service unless it is something that benefits our customers,” Sheets says. “It’s what we call the Grandma Rule. We treat all our customers like one would treat Grandma, with dignity, respect and patience.”

That philosophy seems to be working. Two Men and a Truck is ranked highest in customer satisfaction among full service moving companies by J.D. Power and Associates. Nearly 3,000 moving customers nationally were surveyed. The Delhi township business scored the highest for quality service

“No one could have ever envisioned the success of today’s business, which started with an old $350 bread truck operating out of a barn,” Bergeron says. “It was even gutsier of Mom to franchise the business, but she did it when others told her it couldn’t be done.”
