Inventor Finds Success In Slumping Economy
Tom Sulick Jr. said he has always been creative, but it wasn’t until after some unfortunate circumstances that he put that creativity to work.
Sulick, 49, of Phillipsburg, lost his job about five years ago when his employer, FiberMark Inc., closed its Holland Township operation. He took the opportunity to learn a new trade at Warren County Community College by enrolling as a business management and marketing major. Then one day, during a particularly messy painting job in summer 2006, he devised a cleaner way to do the job. A Tupperware prototype for the Paint Crown, which balances a brush on top of the can without letting it drip or dry out, was born.
Sulick has no intention of letting the Paint Crown be his last creation. He has thought of at least four other ideas as he awaits more investors before manufacturing the Paint Crown.
For anyone else sitting on a good idea of their own, Sulick encourages them to “go for it.”

In this global economic crisis, many companies are affected, most layoff some of thier workers,if we are one of the worker that was layoff, then all we need to do is to be more creative and always have a positive mind. and make a plan on putting up a business, like what Tom Sulick did!

that is pretty cool to know that that type of lid/crown was invented by someone other then the paint manufacturer. My fiance is a painter and he loves that lid because it does make his job a lot cleaner and leave’s less mess for him to have to clean up in the homeowners house when he’s done.
