Port St. Lucie Woman Has Made Her Business Dream A National Reality

TC Palm:

It may seem like a tough time to start a business, but Port St. Lucie resident Tami Cimperman has taken Foxyware, her eight-month old rhinestone-embellished glassware company, from a dream to a nationally promoted reality.

Last Sunday, the MSNBC show “Your Business” featured Cimperman during its regular Elevator Pitch segment. Cimperman pitched her company to investors in hopes of infusing capital into product development, marketing and sales.

“It was so surreal,” Cimperman said of her MSNBC visit. “But it was an awesome experience. One of the people I pitched to was from Entrepreneur magazine, another from Inc. magazine. To meet people like that was amazing.”

Cimperman, who previously ran a rhinestone-embellished T-shirt company, said she’s already been contacted by people who watched the show. “I’ve received a few e-mails,” she said, “and we’ve gotten business out of it already, too.”

Cimperman developed the Foxyware line, which includes champagne flutes, wine glasses, martini glasses, and martini shakers, earlier this year. She and her husband, Wayne, who does marketing and sales for the company, have targeted major liquor companies, resorts, casinos, and department stores. A patent is pending on the process she uses to adhere the rhinestones to glassware.
