Brentwood Mom Makes Babies' Bums Go Green

Tennessean.com:

When Diane Pezo had her son, Brandon, she birthed more than just a baby — she also hatched an environmentally conscious business idea.

While the Wilson Pike resident was pregnant with her son, now 17 months old, she and her husband made the decision to use cloth diapers.

“I had done my research online, and I saw outrageous statistics about disposables in the landfill,” said Pezo, who identifies herself as an environmentalist. “I couldn’t stomach putting that much garbage in a landfill when there are alternatives.”

But when Pezo started searching for cloth diapers, she couldn’t find anyone who sold them locally.

“That got me thinking that I can’t be the only mom that wants to cloth-diaper their child,” she said.

Thus was born the idea for The Changing Times, an online store focusing on cloth diapers and other baby items.
