DollarFlyers Are Stealing The Spotlight From Traditional Business Cards

Take your idea of the traditional business card and forget about it. While many business cards get set aside or tossed, DollarFlyers are made to attract attention.

With the appearance of either a $5, $20 or $100 bill, these business card flyers look and feel like real money. They aren’t printed on just any paper, DollarFlyers are printed on a premium Royal Linen Fiber paper that gives each card that authentic feel of cash. They also come with a heftier price tag, but when was the last time your business card sparked conversation?

What inspired you to launch DollarFlyers.com?

I was looking for a way to do affordable marketing that would work to promote another one of my business ventures. I thought about it and asked myself what the number one thing I could use to grab peoples attention. While in an airport, I saw someone drop a $5 bill while running to catch a flight. People swarmed like bees to grab the lost money. Bingo! I knew what people could not resist. Money!

What are “Dollar Flyers”?

DollarFlyers are a unique and affordable way to market any business. As a flyer, they are to be used to move a prospect or customer to action. Other people have tried to do these and have called them drop cards, sizzle cards, dollar billboards or money flyers. What makes DollarFlyers different is the printing process and paper we use. Ours really look, feel and smell like real money.

On the inside they have a brief attention grabbing ad designed to capture the readers attention and peak their curiosity. These unique marketing pieces can be handed to customers or left behind somewhere in a busy public area to be noticed by a passerby in hopes of generating enough interest to act on the advertisement. When designing the inside message a person should be sure to make it clever, short and compelling. What we mean by that is to make them want to learn more about what you have to offer, sell or promote. Therefore, a short attention grabbing phrase or headline with a website address or phone number is all that is needed. These are used to get them to call you or look at your website for more information. Maybe you are into MLM and need to recruit people. So, a title like “WORK AT HOME” or “SICK of 9 to 5 Jobs?” or “FIRE YOUR BOSS” are all attention getting headlines.

How long have you been in business?

I have been in business all of my life in sales. I hate prospecting and cold calling. I would much rather have a prospect call me because he wants to know more. But, to answer your question, we launched DollarFlyers.com a year ago.

What has the customer feedback been like?

Phenomenal. The comment we get so many times is that these look SO real. They look like real $100 bills. And, the fact that they work is the high rate or re-orders we get. We reprint on average 75% of your customers. From an advertising standpoint people tell us that our marketing tool is the best return on investment they’ve ever made. One person said, it’s the biggest bang for his advertising buck. In this economy, as a marketer, you have to find affordable forms of promoting your business that WORK! We cannot afford to waste money.

How much do they cost?

More than a business card. We use fine linen cotton fiber paper similar to what the treasury department uses and a special proprietary four color high resolution printing process. The more you order the cheaper they get. 1000 is $139.95 2000 for $199 5000 for $299.95 and so on.

Have you always wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes. I got my start selling flowers for my grandpas nursery at age 4 and had my own specialty advertising business at age 13. You name it and I most likely sold it at one time or another.

What have you learned about business from running DollarFlyers.com?

I have learned that you can operate a business from home via the web without a brick and mortar building. It keeps your cost and overhead down. I also learned that many people have hopes and dreams of being successful and fulfilling the American dream by running their own businesses. I have enjoyed helping so many people to succeed at bring prospects in without having to door knock or cold call.

Do you think you’ll consider starting another business in the near or distant future?

Yes, I am working on a new book and website helping people to understand a new and upcoming business model. It has to do with buying and selling scrap gold jewelry from the general public. We have worked out all the kinks, have all the details in place and will help allot of people start a new business that generates allot of cashflow without any overhead. It’s going to be really neat. It will launch this summer in 2009. We have the domain now: thescrapgoldbiz.com where it is forwarding to our gold buying website.

Do you have any advice that you’re willing to share with others interested in starting their own business?

Starting a successful business is all about solving a problem for a particular type of customer, whether it’s a product or a service. So the first thing you need to determine is what problem are you going to solve and who will be happy enough with your solution that they are willing to pay for it. Try to come up with something new that no one has done yet or simply do it better than someone else is right now. Be smart and innovative with your ideas. Market on a shoestring effectively, think outside of the box and never give up.
