Turn Your Biz Cards Into Valuable Online Database

Mashable:

What do you do when you get home from a conference or networking event with a pile of business cards?

If you’re diligent, you might go through them one-by-one, sending people a “nice meeting you” email and inviting them to connect on your social networks of choice.

But if that sounds as miserable and tedious to you as it does to me, CloudContacts is an emerging option to consider.

The service allows you to send in your stack of business cards and have them converted to an online, exportable database.

Once CloudContacts has added the data to its system, you can login to your CloudContacts account where you can see all of your contacts, complete with links to their social network profiles, all of their contact details, and even a Twitter widget showing the person’s latest tweets.

  • That is a great idea. there are so many businesses i know of who collect tons of business cards and don’t do anything with them. they go in a drawer or file 13 and are never seen again. however, these business cards are a great affiliation start and possible partnerships for future adventures.

  • i agree to jaclyn, many of the business cards are only on the drawer and just put it their, they dont think on how important the card is,they dont even make and effort to make a way on how to make it in a good business profit, thats why this post will inspired them to make their business cards a profitable and usedful, thanks for posting this great informative post.

  • That is a brilliant idea! Even I have to admit that $30 for them to process up to 100 business cards isn’t a bad price either. Especially considering how much time will be saved when they have the company do it.
