When we become business owners, it is very easy to get burnt out really quick. This happens for many reasons, we take on too much, we never take a break for fear something bad will happen while we are away, we don’t trust others to do anything major in the business, etc. The following tips are ways to avoid burning yourself out on your business.

Plan some sort of get away during the year. You can express your main concerns with the one you leave in charge and allow them to make decisions while you are away based on what you discussed. Leave a list of contacts for them in case something goes wrong or they need to ask a question.

Don’t be alone in the decisions that are to be made in your business. Always seek help from professional’s, your competitors and even the SCORE counselors.

Always make sure that your family supports your hard work and understands the time it takes to run a business. The harder you work the luckier you get. Balancing life and work is essential for your mental health and wellness.
