Ways to Bounce Back from Setbacks

Everywhere you look, read and hear…people are being laid off left and right or out right fired from their long time secure jobs. Everyone is beginning to wonder how they will bounce back from this recession. Karen Salmonsohn recently answered how to bounce back from your setback with a few ideas of her own.

Today’s business world is increasingly challenging–with economic unrest and rapid changes in infrastructure. Many good people have recently found themselves facing job insecurity and layoffs.

First Karen states, join the club. In this she means don’t think you are alone in this matter, there are thousands like yourself. Think like a lion about your lay off/firing. Evaluate the situation from the employers point of view before you jump back into the swing of thing’s, this will give you a new perspective.

Don’t ask depressing or negative question’s because you’ll find that the answers are going to be nothing but negative and depressing in return. And finally, shrink the time you spend each day thinking negative. The more negative thought’s you have, the more negatively you will feel.

What are your ideas on bouncing back from a setback?
