Why did you decide to open the Kangaroo Club?
The idea for Kangaroo Club was born during the last months of my pregnancy. I had been doing the “office job”, and I realized I was unable to unwind and enjoy my family at the end of a stressful day. The minute my son smiled at me for the first time, it hit me. I wanted to touch the lives of other families, and make children laugh and learn for a living. I taught English as a second language for over 9 years, so the teacher in me screamed with joy.
How do you balance being a mom and a business owner?
Not only I am a mom, and a business owner, but I am also a wife, a pet owner, and a student! It’s very hard to balance everything, but I find that prioritizing and delegating are the two most important things. My family, which includes my dog, comes first. Work and homework is mostly done after everybody goes to sleep. And I get a lot of help from my wonderful husband with taking care of our home.
